  4.   [D]ownload A QWK Packet
  5.  
  6.     This command allows you to create and download a QWK Message
  7.     Packet.
  8.  
  9.     If you wish to log off the system after downloading your QWK
  10.     packet, type 'DG' instead of 'D', at the Command Prompt.
  11.  
  12.     A QWK Message Packet is a special file that can be utilized by
  13.     OffLine Mail Readers. An OffLine Mail Reader is a program that
  14.     allows you to read messages at your leasure. You may read and
  15.     enter messages while not connected to the BBS, thus saving you
  16.     phone charges.
  17.  
  18.     The QWK packet contains ALL of the New messages in EACH of the
  19.     Forums that you have selected to be included in the packet, since
  20.     the last time you were on.

  23.   [U]pload An REP Packet
  24.  
  25.     This command allows you to upload an REP Message Packet.
  26.  
  27.     If you wish to log off the system after uploading your REP
  28.     packet, type 'UG' instead of 'U', at the Command Prompt.

  30.     An REP Message Packet is a file that is created by a QWK Mail
  31.     Reader program. It contains messages that you have entered
  32.     OffLine, while not connected to the BBS.

  35.   [S]elect Forums
  36.  
  37.     This command allows you to select the Forums that you would like
  38.     to have included in your QWK packet. When GAP prepares a QWK 
  39.     packet for you, it includes ALL New Messages in ALL Forums that
  40.     you have selected to be a part of your QWK packet.
  41.  
  42.     By using this command, you can instruct GAP to include ONLY
  43.     those Forums that you are interested in.
  44.  
  45.     Depending upon how many Forums the Sysop has configured and how
  46.     many of those Forums you are a Member of, there will be 1 or more
  47.     screens displayed that will show the Forum Number, Name of the
  48.     Forum, Highest Message Number in that forum, your Last Read Message
  49.     Number in that Forum, and a flag that will be a 'Y' if that Forum
  50.     is selected to be included in your QWK Packet or blank if the
  51.     Forum is not selected.

  53.     The following prompt will appear:

  55.       Select QWK Forums : Enter Forum [#], [Q]uit, [Enter] = More :
  56.  
  57.       The '[Enter] = More' will not be displayed if the current screen
  58.       is the last screen to be displayed.

  60.       This prompt allows you to type the Forum Number to either include
  61.       or not include in your QWK packet. When you type a Forum Number to
  62.       work with, the follow prompt will appear:

  64.       (Forum xxx) - [D]eselect, Last Read Message [#], Enter to Select :

  66.       [D]eselect
  67.  
  68.         This command allows you to prevent the Current Forum
  69.         (the one whos number appears in place of the 3 x's in the above
  70.         prompt) from being included in your QWK packet. This allows you
  71.         to be a Member of a Forum and yet not have that Forum's New
  72.         Messages included in your QWK packet.

  75.       Last Read Message [#]
  76.  
  77.         If you type a number, then GAP will include the Current Forum
  78.         in your QWK packet and will also reset your Last Read Message
  79.         Number to the number you specify.

  82.       Enter to Select
  83.  
  84.         By simply pressing the Enter key, GAP will include the Current
  85.         Forum in your QWK packet.

  90.     This command returns you to the GAP Main Command Prompt.
